We are hiring immediately for an Aircraft Parts Buffer.
What you will be doing as an Aircraft Parts Buffer:
In this role, you can expect to set up and operate a variety of motorized equipment, hand tools, and holding fixtures to buff and polish aircraft components. You'll master techniques and polishes on all metal alloys to meet high appearance standards. To perform and maintain proper inspection standards, methods and procedures used by the Service Center in complying with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturer's recommendations.

The Aftermarket Programs Engineer will be responsible for working directly with our flight training device customers to resolve issues on the flight training device in a timely manner.

The role of the B1 Aircraft Technician is to identify and correct malfunctioning jet, turboprop, and reciprocating multi-engine aircraft mechanical components and systems and perform annual and progressive inspections as well as modification work on customer aircraft.

Job Responsibilities:• Works from specifications, blueprints, oral and written instructions to record pertinent adhesive information, form and lay-up component parts and assemblies such as fiberglass, graphite, and Kevlar in proper relationship according to standard shop practices where tooling and holding fixtures are usually available, and to perform a variety of operations necessary to prepare composite parts and assemblies for autoclave or oven curing process. Requires the ability to plan and perform a sequence of operations where standard lay-up methods are available. Must comply with the different parts configuration and geometry when laying up composite assemblies. • Selects proper holding fixtures, bonding materials, proper size bleeders, bagging materials, and specified materials. Fit and align component parts in proper sequence and specific location in bond fixture. Uses care to avoid contamination of surfaces from foreign substances such as dust or release agents. Applies various adhesives to bond component parts together. Must also trim, fit, and seal bleeder and bag over areas to be bonded to obtain uniform vacuum pressure. Connects hose to port and checks for leaks, wrinkles, tears, and proper seal. • May cut away bagging materials and remove excess material or tape from holding fixtures. Uses measuring devices, and hand and power tools as required. • Responsible only for quality of own work.• Performs other duties as required.
